Hospital cash is available as an option to the base Health insurance plans. This coverage provides cash allowance of $100 per day to be used at your discretion, while hospitalized. You can use this coverage to pay for out of pocket expenses such as in-room television, telephone, or other services to ease your stay.

Coverage is proviced for up to 30 days of hospitalization and begins on the 4th day of hospitalization for accident or illness, and the 7th day for maternity stays.

There is a 30 day waiting period for this option. Some other exclusions apply including some pre-existing conditions. Please see the hospital cash policy wording for full details.
